  • Sponsored content: China model in a nut shell

Since being co-opted by crypto.com, BloombergLLC podcast have turned into a shameful attempt to sell private equity onto the American population.

The conflicts of interest are rampant, and honest journalism is scarce.

  • It is the opposite of intelligence

I like Bloomberg, with some restrictions, but this podcast is the worst. It is childish, almost like the despicable Fox. The attempts to make it informal is just pathetic and annoying. If you want intelligent and funny, look at the Unhedged from FT. You can fix yours by making it formal and analytic because I doubt you can make it funny and smart. In time: spare us of your middle east political views. Too biased toward countries that commit genocide. There are other media outlets. We know what ... more

  • You have a responsibility

We know what party has said they are taking your rights, end of democracy, fascism, and na**i - that has consequences and has resulted in these shootings and attempted assignations. This is sad. The media can go back to the tapes and posts but you could at least hold them accountable going forward. They have freedom of speech but the media should ask, do you really mean to say this person is an actual fascist who will end the democracy? Does this politician really mean to suggest mobs or burning... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

DOJ Opens Probe Into NFL’s Sports TV Deals
Q: What are the big media companies saying about the DOJ investigation and NFL rights negotiations?
Geetha Ranganathan explains that for major broadcasters and streamers, the probe could recalibrate leverage in renegotiations, potentially slowing down deals while regulators assess anti-competitive concerns and consumer impact.
Delta Predicts $2 Billion Fuel Hit With CEO Cautious on Outlook
Q: George, to the extent that the airlines are trying to pass along some of their higher fuel costs to customers, what's the price elasticity of a US flyer these days?
Elasticity is lower for premium seating than for economy, meaning higher-fare passengers may tolerate price increases more than those in the basic cabin; airlines may see stronger revenue gains in premium cabins even as overall demand for economy passengers remains sensitive to price changes.
Estée Lauder in Talks to Buy Puig to Create Beauty Giant
Q: Clara, tell us a little bit about Puig Brands. Who are they and why do you think Estée Lauder is in talks to acquire them?
Puig is a family-owned business whose core strength lies in fragrances through brands like Carolina Herrera, Rabanne, and Jean Paul Gaultier. Acquiring Puig would bolster Estée Lauder's fragrance exposure, broaden its geographic reach into Europe and Latin America, and help it compete more effectively against large players like L'Oréal. The deal also raises questions about timing, integration, and whether Puig's fashion labels would remain tightly integrated with its fragrance business.
SpaceX Said to File Confidentially for IPO Before AI Rivals
Q: What does filing confidentially really mean for SpaceX's IPO process?
Confidential filing allows SpaceX to begin meetings with investors and share certain information in a private setting while preparing for a public filing later. It helps manage sensitive financial data and regulatory scrutiny ahead of a formal, public debut.
Oil Dives as Trump Backs Off Iran Threats
Q: Where do you see oil prices heading if there's an off ramp in Iran, and over what time frame?
Oil prices are likely to trend lower toward the mid- to low-$70s in the near term, with risks skewed to the downside if supply disruption concerns ease and if volatility shifts into the stock and gold markets, potentially moving toward the $40s if a sustained recessionary state emerges.
