  • Journalism without apology

Corporate-backed news outlets are totally toothless when it comes to covering Silicon Valley tech, with childlike credulity for whatever the “visionary” CEOs tell them, and unshakable confidence in the wisdom of the market. Indie journalists are carrying tech journalism on their back, like ants bearing 50x their weight, and David is one of the very best.

  • Great show

David has the correct approach to reporting the reality of the AI hype bubble: present the facts, then sneer.

  • Useful information about the current AI (mostly GenAI) hype. Focusing on the dark and often tragicomic side.

  • Brilliant and fun

Due to the ongoing trend of AI hype/con/grift, information from Pivot to AI is more important than ever. Any time someone mentions how neat some chatbot/plagiarism/MTurk is, Pivot is a must-have resource and it is lovely to have an audio option. Accuracy and humor are both in full effect here, much to the chagrin of marketing bros. Hopefully the artificial bubble pops soon. Thanks very much.
