I’ve gamed a Ping O Blade for years!

A podcast on how those original bronze putters were made would be so awesome. When you polish them there isn’t a nicer top line of a putter made.

I did the instrumented mountain bike in MEL lab too! I got a chuckle when Marty talked about it!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Episode 95: Your Questions Answered
Q: What is the suggested order to start fitting a player's clubs for optimal scoring?
Begin with the driver as the foundation, then the putter, followed by irons, wedges, and finally the transition clubs like hybrids and fairway woods, to optimize scoring potential.
Episode 95: Your Questions Answered
Q: How does color of the putter contribute to putting performance?
Color influences emotions and gaze, with theory suggesting red can induce aggression and white/low-glare finishes help calm the gaze for better aim and face delivery; these factors are considered in the design of quiet-eye technology.
Episode 93: Trackman (Feat. Fredrik Tuxen)
Q: How has Trackman's data influenced PING's R&D and fitting processes?
PING uses Trackman data to build fitting algorithms, train field reps, and mine a goldmine of data from fittings to optimize launch conditions, club delivery, and gapping analyses across drivers and wedges.
Episode 93: Trackman (Feat. Fredrik Tuxen)
Q: Where did Trackman originate and why did the founders pursue this technology?
Trackman originated from a driving-range project where the goal was to track where the ball lands, then expanded to follow the entire flight and eventually include club data to understand delivery and impact.
Episode 88: Daniel Berger
Q: How did your relationship with your dad, a professional tennis coach, influence your journey in golf?
My dad laid out some guidance but allowed me to make my own mistakes, understanding the importance of love for the game while providing contacts and resources for success.
