  • Reboot is worse than before

I’m out. I agree that the old show format wasn’t working—there wasn’t any chemistry between the hosts and one of them (Renee) just didn’t know anything about baseball. But the new format, where Tyler just talks at us for an hour, is somehow worse. He doesn’t have a compelling persona and his monologues are not well-written. (Tyler, trying to use a bunch of big words you don’t understand doesn’t make you sound smart.)

I’d give it another try if you guys found Tyler a co-host with a bit of person... more

  • Miss the old format

I love Tyler, he’s great, but the solo gig just isn’t it. He needs someone else. These 4-10 minute episodes aren’t it. Don’t get why he couldn’t just join Jamie instead of Renee.

  • Overall good, could be great with some tweaks!

Not sure why the previous format had to change, really enjoyed the daily shows even when there was nothing to talk about; just listening to the three of you guys talk about the Phillies or anything else was fun. I do hope the shows will be daily during the season.

Now onto the new show, I listened to Tyler since the radio days as a producer and host, he is really smart and clearly loves baseball. I do wish the show felt a little bit more fun though. Maybe it would help to get a beat writer agai... more

  • Loving the reboot

I’ve been searching for an informative Phillies podcast for years now and love this new format with Tyler. Informative talk from someone who loves this team but isn’t just a fan spouting emotion or opinions. The schedule will be the perfect amount for quality content.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Kyle Schwarber Nearing a Free Agency Decision? | PHLY Phillies
Q: Schwarber is re-signed but not JT or Ranger. How do you think the starting lineup looks?
I think the lineup would include Trey Turner, Kyle Schwarber, Bryce Harper, Bryson Stott, and possibly Alec Bohm or a free agent like Kazuma Okamoto at third base.
Kyle Schwarber Nearing a Free Agency Decision? | PHLY Phillies
Q: Would you let Ranger walk and sign the Japanese pitcher in order to open opportunities in signing more guys from that market?
Yes, begrudgingly, I think Tatsuya Imae has the chance to be a legitimate top of the rotation type of starting pitcher in Major League Baseball.
Kyle Schwarber or Pete Alonso? JT Realmuto or a FA RH bat? | Phillies offseason Would You Rather
Q: Would you rather Kyle Schwarber return as the Phillies DH or Pete Alonso signs as a free agent?
The hosts discussed the trade-offs between bringing Schwarber back or signing Alonso, weighing offensive production against defensive capabilities.
Should the Phillies Go After Adolis García After Rangers Non-Tender?
Q: Are the Phillies interested in Adolis García?
It's likely being considered as an option, but not the top of their list.
Should the Phillies Go After Adolis García After Rangers Non-Tender?
Q: How much would you be willing to pay for Adolis García?
I would pay $4 to $6 million for him depending on the market.
