Philippines4 months ago - News should not have mood music. It’s manipulative
Music manipulates. That’s why movies and propagandists use it. Mood music has no place in news. (Bumper music is OK.) I don’t need mood music to tell me how to feel about the news. It’s annoying and insulting.
Mood music also makes it harder to understand the words (especially counter-productive when listeners mother tongue is not English) and adds to noise pollution
All that being said, this is one of the few news podcasts from the Philippines. It’s rated on a curve.
