Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

DR. MONCRIEFF HER NEW BOOK CHEMICALLY IMBALANCED
Q: What main message would you like to leave with the audience?
People need to inform themselves and can't always rely on doctors to provide the most up-to-date scientific advice.
DR. MONCRIEFF HER NEW BOOK CHEMICALLY IMBALANCED
Q: What is your take on the way psychiatric medications like antidepressants are marketed?
The marketing has been fundamental in establishing the idea that depression is a brain problem and has deliberately promoted the notion of chemical imbalances to separate new drugs from the negative associations of older medications.
DR. MONCRIEFF HER NEW BOOK CHEMICALLY IMBALANCED
Q: What got you started in this journey?
I started working as a psychiatrist and saw a disconnect between what I was taught about medications being effective and the reality I observed in patients who seemed heavily sedated and not restored to normal functioning.
WE CHATTED WITH DR. POPE ABOUT ANABOLIC STEROIDS
Q: Does tapering off steroids help with recovery of testosterone levels?
Tapering can help, and post-cycle therapy may aid recovery, but many former users may never fully regain normal testosterone production after prolonged steroid use.
WE CHATTED WITH DR. POPE ABOUT ANABOLIC STEROIDS
Q: What are the main areas that we are worried about when it comes to the side effects of steroids?
The heart is the primary concern, as steroids can disrupt cholesterol levels and lead to heart attacks. Long-term exposure can cause cardiomyopathy and affect heart muscle function.
