Characters are mushed together and the brilliancy of Austen’s sarcasm is lost. Reading too fast loses the LISTENER, for whom the book is being read. The Listener cant follow who and what is being said! I have read the numerous times, love the text and Austen’s humor, but cant abide this reading.
