In this week's episode Zach and Matthew talk the Mythos Envy, the Tube Screamer, why it's become so polarizing.
In this week's episode we ask ourselves a fun time-travel experiment: what advice would you give your younger self if you could go back right when we started learning how to play? Oh the possibilities!
This week we dive into comments made guitar icon Slash about the state of the rockstar and why young people today might pickup the guitar for different reasons than he did. We end up with a rollicking discussion about how the industry has changed wit... more

The people need consistency.. This is the kind of podcast I’d like from all my favorite builders. A day in the life, the stories, the monotony, the challenges, the successes, the inside jokes, the excitement about making things, all of it. I admit that it also makes me want to buy pedals I don’t need.. and it’s fun!
Great discussions on important and interesting topics in the gear world. Bring up important topics such as hype, over collecting vs consolidating, new products as well as old staples. Two natural podcasters. I appreciate the discussions.
Just what we needed. Another self shilling pedal builder and his lackey telling us about how great his pedals and pickups are. Self promotion is so boomer. At least Brett Skull won’t guest appear.
Edit* just kidding it was a bit. These guys are awesome. Please don’t send gorilla poop.
As someone who has played guitar off and on for a lot of my life, but never fully dove into the intricacies of guitar tone, this podcast is a fantastic gateway into this fascinating world! The hosts are entertaining and down-to-earth; as a fellow rube I appreciate the rube vs. expert dynamic. Keep up the great work fellas! Can’t wait to buy my first Mythos pedal!
Matthew and Zach deep dive into the most awesome of guitar nerdery each week and I love it! Matthew brings the same thoughtfulness and hilarious vibes he did on the “Novo Show” and Zach never fails to make me think deeper or open my mind more about my own playing/gear choices. Definitely worth the listen!
