Die Sendung “Pauk mit - Latein” und mit ihr Rolf Illig, haben in den 1970 Jahren mit einen der Grundsteine für den modernen, humanistischen Lateinunterricht an heutigen Schulen gelegt.
Wenn man Latein auch nicht mehr von Grund auf mit dieser Sendung lernen kann, ist sie zur Auf- und Nachbesserung bestens geeignet.
Tatsächlich funktioniert sie sogar wenn man möchte ohne Bild, nur als Tonmaterial.
