Also really glad that Vrabel is signaling a focus on winning his “balanced” and “efficient” way — not trying to simply entertain the “throw it all over the yard” quant crowd. If I can’t have Bill, I’ll take the next best thing — someone who sees football and leadership the same way ;-) If this outcome do... more

Great show today — loved hearing the two informed viewpoints and the passion. Also had a great mix of opinion and the right level of detailed football/play analysis…

How anybody likes these guys I don’t know. They’re sloppy, speak really slowly and forget details such as players’ names constantly. Don’t bother.

Patriots MOCK Draft Post Free Agency with Evan Lazar | Patriots Daily
Q: Evan, what do the Patriots need to hit? Give us maybe a top four or five, and how do you see those needs aligning with the draft?
The group prioritizes edge rusher, wide receiver, and tackle as top needs, with a note on depth at tight end and the importance of developing young players to complement aging veterans, while considering the trade-down option for additional picks.
Patriots MOCK Draft Post Free Agency with Evan Lazar | Patriots Daily
Q: Moving into the back end of this first round, are you of the mindset of best player available, or is this a strictly position of need situation for the Patriots?
The panel leans toward a middle ground, favoring best player available but acknowledging premium positions like tackle and edge; they caution against reaching for a need at 31 and suggest balancing value with team-building considerations.
Breaking Down BEST Edge Rusher & LB Prospects for Patriots | Patriots Daily
Q: Which players stand out as potential fits for the Patriots at Pick 31 or later?
Prospects like Cassius Howell, TJ Parker, Zion Young, and Derrick Moore are discussed as possible fits, with emphasis on players who can develop into multi-role defenders rather than immediate starters.
Breaking Down BEST Edge Rusher & LB Prospects for Patriots | Patriots Daily
Q: What is the Patriots' priority in the upcoming draft at edge and linebacker?
The hosts emphasize a need for a mix of pass rush and run defense, valuing versatile players who can rush from the edge and also contribute in coverage and in various defensive schemes.
Patriots Daily Mailbag: Who Should New England Target This Offseason?
Q: What do you think about the Stefan Diggs situation and whether the Patriots should try to upgrade at wide receiver, including the idea of Diggs staying vs. moving on?
Diggs provides reliability but at a high cost, and the Patriots should consider cheaper, bigger, and faster options; if keeping Diggs, they should pursue a long-term replacement through the draft to complement him, rather than overpaying or forcing a trade for a player who may age out quickly.
