  • Great podcast that touches on many topics

The podcast or, as I call it , The Bruv ‘n’ Bacon Show (the reason for that will become readily apparent within minutes of listening to any episode over the last few months), is an excellent smorgasbord of all things paranormal. I have had a life-long interest in ghosts and anything connected to them, and this is one of the very few podcasts that matches my voracious and incessant curiosity on the topic. Nicole and Damien are unapologetically themselves and share their vast knowledge and deep i... more

Love love love both RGO and ParaPeculiar! I live in NOLA and work in The Quarter and love working while listening to Nicole and Damian. • Stop interrupting!!

I was guided to a couple of podcast episodes on here to listen to Sarah Reeves. I was so excited to listen and learn more about her and her background. But, the first episode I listened to her as a guest was extremely hard to get through due to the host constantly interrupting and talking over her. It was so frustrating! He would ask a question before she was finished answering the last question, and it felt very chaotic. Then he would spiral into a story about himself while she was already tell... more

  • Deep thoughts and fun times!

LOVE these guys! They really dive deep into a myriad of topics and have some great laughs along the way. I started at episode 1 and went straight through until the most recent, all in a row while toiling away at work over the course of a couple weeks! If you want to find out about all things para, have your imagination and deep thinking sparked, and get answers to (and then have more) questions, I would highly suggest checking these guys out!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

#145 Secrets of the real Black Lodge revealed. Another unhinged dive into high strangeness with Allen Greenfield
Q: What do you mean by the Black Lodge, and where is it located in your framework?
The Black Lodge consists of former humans who have ascended beyond ordinary corporeal life but remain malevolent in intent; they operate as immortal powers outside time and space, influencing events through agents and structures rather than as a single fixed location.
#144 Captain Grants and tight pants. Discussing 28 Days Haunted with Nick Simons
Q: How much of what happened on the show was genuine versus scripted or influenced by production?
Nick explains there was a core level of on-site reality, with real investigations and personal experiences, but acknowledges producers controlled many narrative aspects, footage selection, and overall presentation, which affected how viewers perceived events.
#120 Ayden Castellanos - Folklorist and creator of the Susto podcast
Q: So Ayden, just in case, tell us about you.
Ayden describes himself as the host of Susto, focused on paranormal folklore from Latin American and Hispanic cultures, and explains the meaning of the word susto as fright.
#138 Former psychic medium renounces new age practice after horrifying experiences - Kylee O'Donnell tells us her shocking story
Q: What catalyzed your shift from New Age practices to Christianity?
Traumatic experiences, realization of manipulation and danger within spiritual circles, and ultimately a sense of real safety and grounded peace found in Jesus and church community.
#133 Possessed by the devil in St Louis and the truth about the 1949 exorcism - Troy Taylor - Author, researcher, podcaster, and founder of Haunted America Conference
Q: Do you think negative entities or energies could be a plausible explanation for Ronnie's experiences, or is demonology a necessary framework to interpret the events?
I think there is a real possibility of negative energies or other non-demonic explanations in some cases, and demonology may not be the only or best framework to interpret these experiences; a broader, history-informed approach is needed.
