However, the auto injections of seven-plus minutes of ads per episode for the 2024 season is disappointing and will probably lower the listening priority to me. I get it, ads are important. But injecting them mid sentence multiple times during an episode is a huge distraction. Episodes repeatedly center on the Minnesota Gophers, Big Ten dynamics, NIL and revenue considerations, and broader national college football trends, all delivered with humor, regional flavor, and candid banter. Noteworthy is the mix of data-driven discussion (analytics, power indices, revenue models) with accessible storytelling and sponsor-integrated local flavor, which can help potential listeners gauge both the depth of analysis and the entertaining, personable tone.
Listeners are drawn to a locally grounded take on college football that ranges from in-depth ... more
