  • Ozzy is a HOFamer

Keats is a cheeseball as usual but does a decent job …. Love the guest like I said Keats is mediocre analyst and wont be missed at the desk. Stay off the booze pal you look like a tomato.

  • Favorite Detroit Sports Podcast

This may be the best Detroit Sports Podcast. Always loved the banter of Keats and Ozzy during games and was bummed to hear Keats was retiring. It feels like you’re getting the version of these two off-air; almost like the unedited version. Hope these two continue this podcast and it grows the audience it deserves.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Ozzy and Keats - Max Bultman
Q: What direction do you think they could take in free agency and the draft to stay competitive?
Adding a top-six scoring winger and at least one bottom-six player with grit could be critical, and they might seek to bring in a veteran presence to bridge until young players mature; also, the goalie situation is a talking point, with multiple young netminders needing development time.
Ozzy and Keats - Max Bultman
Q: And when you first heard that Dylan Larkin had requested a trade, what was your immediate reaction?
It's going to change everything for the Red Wings; the tension from the last year at the press conferences hints at a fork in the road, and the organization has to consider what a return might look like and how quickly they can pivot without sacrificing long-term stability.
Ozzy and Keats - Kris Draper pt 2
Q: Could you both share a favorite memory of Steve Iserman from his playing career?
Draper recalls Iserman's clutch Game 7 overtime goal and leadership in the locker room, while the other guest emphasizes the awe surrounding Iserman and how he quietly controlled the room, a dynamic that shaped the Wings' culture.
Ozzy and Keats - Ty Conklin
Q: What do you think about Dylan Larkin's trade request and the Wings' plan going forward?
The trio agrees that the situation is complex, with multiple factors like the money, cap fit, and potential three-team trades; the Wings will likely be patient and strategic, leveraging their young core while keeping an eye on a favorable return.
Ozzy and Keats - Dave Dombrowski
Q: What other moves stood out as game-changing for the Tigers during that era?
Aside from Cabrera, the signing of Pudge Rodriguez was pivotal, followed by a series of farm-system-driven acquisitions and homegrown talent that enabled sustained contention and post-season appearances.
