  • Idiots

If I ever met any of these people in real life, I would make their day extremely unpleasant. Dismantle this company and arrest everyone.

  • Getting it all wrong

These people all sound so smart, but they fundamentally fail to understand - even with all the data and tools available - that economic growth is not the key to human happiness and prosperity.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Episode 18 - Why AI needs a new kind of supercomputer network
Q: What does this mean for the end user?
Users can expect faster and more reliable training, reducing the risk of job failures and speeding up the delivery of larger frontier models.
Episode 15 - Inside the Model Spec
Q: How does the model spec translate into training and actual model behavior, and what does the hierarchy look like when things conflict?
The model spec guides high-level decisions and is complemented by training methods like deliberative alignment; when conflicts arise, the chain of command determines whether OpenAI, developer, or user instructions take precedence, and policies are implemented at the lowest necessary level to preserve steerability.
Episode 7 - Live from DevDay
Q: What was your reaction so far to Dev Day?
A ton of fun, a lot of things to be excited about that help us build, but also help students and teachers be more creative.
Episode 1 - Sam Altman on AGI, GPT-5, and what’s next
Q: If you had to give advice to a 25-year-old, what would you say?
Learn how to use AI tools; skills like resilience and creativity are also important.
Episode 1 - Sam Altman on AGI, GPT-5, and what’s next
Q: What will it take to reach superintelligence?
It would require a system capable of autonomously discovering new science or significantly enhancing people's ability to do so.
