This podcast might be good, but I am giving it a 2 star because I am hard of hearing and found the background music distracting and unnecessary. I was so annoyed that it was impossible to sort out the voices from the music. I really tried to listen.
Jennifer is such a talented orator and host. Her calm and soothing voice is the perfect stage for these important, complex, and emotional stories. I am so honored to have been on the podcast and hope to come back in future seasons. Hearing from other adoptees at various stages of their adoption and reunion journeys has been essential to my own emotional stability as I navigate similar parts of my own life.
Truly beautiful podcast episodes. Jennifer’s voice is soothing, thoughtful, and deeply . Some of these stories really move me to tears.
Thanks Jennifer for bringing adoption stories to light.
For many, this topic is never usually talked about. There’s a discomfort to discuss something so personal and traumatic. Jennifer changes all of this with her way of making you feel relaxed and engaging with you on such a sensitive topic. Her calmness and professionalism is just you need to open up. Whether you’re a guest or a listener, you will learn so much when you hear yourself dig deep or listen to what it’s like to fight nurture over nature for all of us in Adoptee Land.
Jennifer is an amazing host, she let me share my story and helped me to get through the tough emotions. I was very comfortable in sharing my story. This podcast is also therapy when listening to others tell their stories. I recommend to any adoptee/foster child that want to share their story, look no further this is the podcast to do it.
