Thankyou Dave, Julian and Ian! ‘All about modelling…’- and then some. Our three Aussie scale ambassadors and sprue-bro’s deliver in spades. Look forward to every show. The gateway to others like Beyond the Box Art and Modelling Mojo. But no matter how far I roam still call the benchers home. Thanks almighty Podfather for getting the ball rolling and building this community and giving inspiration when things (the world, life or actual projects) are a bit ‘Shelf of Doom’. One contributor calls Gwynneth Paltrow a "wh***" for dating to be in a film that beat Saving Private Ryan to the best picture Oscar, the other 2 laugh it up - in the bin the the lot of them.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

OTB 240: Rocky Mountain Expo
Q: Is there a maximum number of models a person can bring, and what is the cost to enter?
There is no maximum—you can bring as many models as you like—and the entry cost is $35 for exhibitors who are competing.
OTB 233: Modelling 3D printed armour.
Q: What should a hobbyist consider first when starting with 3D-printed armour models?
Start with understanding brittleness, identify weak points like support nodes, and plan to use the right cut tools and careful finishing to avoid breaking delicate parts.
OTB 226: Sean Morgan 1/5th scale MV Agusta.
Q: What defines what scale you're going to build it in?
It was determined based on the diameter of a chain he sourced, which led him to choose 1/5th scale for the motorcycle.
OTB 226: Sean Morgan 1/5th scale MV Agusta.
Q: What inspired you to build the MV Agusta?
Sean was inspired by his mentor Gary, who introduced him to the motorcycle at the National Motor Museum and encouraged him to focus on scratch builds.
OTB 217: Winzfactor and bugs!
Q: What paints do you primarily use for your models?
I mainly use a Filipino brand called Zerg and utilize clear colors for a translucent effect on the bugs.
