We are very lucky to be able soak in the inspiration that is Bret Lott. His novels focus on ordinary people yet touch our souls—at least they have for me. Learning from him is expansive and thoughtful. I was lucky enough to be in his class at Centrum in Port Townsend, Washington, many years ago and I learned so much about writing. And, I think, grew as a writer.
