Reviews

4.6 out of 5 stars from 67 ratings
  • Entertaining, could be better!

I want to give this podcast 5 stars but it just lacks that bit of polish that the others have. Andrew and Josh seem to be silent a lot of the time and just add in a “yeah” every now and then. Being an Aussie cast I want it to do really well, please give everyone the chance to shine and contribute not just gomma!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Testing Renegades - Plus Terrain That Looks Unreal II - Old World Fanatics - EP139
Q: What kind of music or soundtracks did players use while gaming in the past?
They recall Red Dwarf, James Bond OSTs, and occasionally other movie or TV soundtracks, with preferences evolving over the years; the discussion drifted into friends' nostalgic choices and how music affected the gaming atmosphere.
BONUS - End of Year special with Old World Behemoths, 2+ Podcast and OWF
Q: If you had to describe the last year of The Old World in a word, what would it be?
Rollercoaster, because there have been both amazing releases and disappointing changes.
EP123 - Tactics at the Table - Warhammer The Old World
Q: Does it spark joy when you hold it?
The consensus was that even a pile of unfinished models can bring joy, particularly if they are seen as potential future projects rather than failures.
EP123 - Tactics at the Table - Warhammer The Old World
Q: Do you have particularly strong hobby-associated environment memories that bring on flashbacks?
Many participants reminisced about their early experiences in hobby shops and environments, with some recalling the scent of tobacco and clutter that reminded them of their Warhammer sessions.
EP122 - Path to Glory Campaigns - Do they stack up? And the rumour mill is swirling
Q: What new human and non-human faction would you like to see added to the game other than the Kislev and or the Legacy?
I'd like to see Numis, the city of Tomb Kings, which represents a mix of humans and undead. For humans, picking Astalia would be great.
