  • Informative but too much forced laughter on bad jokes. I am done… unsubscribing

Interesting but the very forced laughter is super annoying. Signing OUT

  • Sound quality

I enjoy the content of this show very much, but I find myself not listening much anymore. Jake’s sound quality is so bad it’s difficult to listen to. Each and every guest has better sound quality than one of the hosts, I get lost in the roominess of Jake’s mic, and it’s often hard to understand what he is saying, or I just don’t care. It would really benefit the show to sort this problem out.

  • Funny and informative. I do wish they would drink even more however. Usually they only have one drink, which isn't enough for maximum entertainment.

  • Raise a glass and geek-out on the state of space

Two wonks with deep insights into human and robotic forays beyond earth’s gravity pour drinks, talk shop, laugh, and opine. They’re typically joined by a knowledgeable guest.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

185 - A Little Bit Like Mexico (with Matthew Weinzierl and Brendan Rosseau)
Q: One question for Brendan too, as someone who's gone out and done a couple of different things from different sides of the industry, is that the lens that this book has on the industry, does that come up as overtly when you actually are working in the industry or is this stuff that emerges over time as people try different strategies?
It's been a really interesting split screen for me, where a lot of my understanding of what's happened in the industry, what's changing, what's enduring, and what is maybe more transient has been grounded in some of this economic thinking.
176 - Cosplaying the Shuttle (with Adrian Beil)
Q: What is the significance of the V2 Starship?
V2 is bigger, has more propellants, and has changes to how the flat positions are managed which include hinging instead of being deployed in the plasma.
176 - Cosplaying the Shuttle (with Adrian Beil)
Q: What do you make of the Starship launch you didn't watch?
I didn't watch it, so convince me it’s worth going back to watch because I don’t think much novel happened with it.
173 - A Bigger Diaper (with Scott “Kidd” Poteet)
Q: What was your experience with the spacesuit during the mission?
The spacesuit exceeded expectations, minimizing discomfort during the mission and allowed effective monitoring of crucial data.
133 - I’m an Adult with a Job
Q: Would you recommend starting with planetary photography or deep-sky images?
It really depends on what kind of person you are—if you're creative, try deep-sky; if you're analytical, planetary might be for you.
