I stumbled on this when I was rereading old BattleTech novels and looking for something more in the world of BT content. These three happened to be finishing the very books I was reading, and clearly spent more time pondering and analyzing what the author was trying to get across than the average person, and that got my attention. This podcast is like a serious literary analysis of pulp novels, and does a lot to highlight the care and intention that the authors put into their work. Plus, it’s f... more
Having read these books many years ago it is such a pleasure to listen to them talk about them and have the same thoughts and ideas that I had many years ago. The depth they go to is incredible. I love the passion they have for the books and the lore. So much fun.
I just got into Battletech and decided to jump into the novels. Exploring the early books with these three goofballs has been an absolute pleasure. Commentary is funny and interesting with each member of the tripod bringing their own insights and expertise to the show. The pace is just right, and it's a lot of fun to hear veteran BT fans discuss the universe. Also, the music is absolute fire. Totally giving me that synthy techno 80s feel which is a perfect companion. Keep it up boys.
I have been a fan of Battletech ever since i stole my dads copy of Main Event, and these three are a delight as they weave through the depths and nuance of this glorious mecha soap opera of the stars. If you are a fan of Battletech and you have not given these guys a listen then accept my batchall and meet me in a circle of equals. Seyla
Great podcast and they got the narrator for the audio books. They are knowledgeable and like the IP.
