I enjoy the storytelling, and the sound effects are used really well....
....except for the stories that end with high pitched, ear bleeding sounds.
Thankfully that's not used every time, so I'll give this show 4 stars!

A retro-styled horror show hosted by a distinctive narrator who guides listeners through a mix of listener-submitted paranormal tales, true-crime-adjacent segments, and classic horror history. Episodes blend fiction, folklore, and memoir with a self-aware sense of humor, often featuring cross-podcast guests and multi-segment story cycles. Notable strengths include a cohesive vintage-radio aesthetic, high production quality, and a knack for cross-promotions and collaborations across horror and true crime communities. It's likely to appeal to fans of atmospheric storytelling, curated historical horror, and long-form, hosted narratives with strong narrative voice and sound design.
