  • Inspiring makers everywhere!

It’s my favourite time to listen to a good podcast and Object tops my list! Craft arts are not represented as much as some other art forms and this one not only features the top makers in their field but it is beautifully produced as well. I’m loving the living treasures particularly, I’m sure I will listen to them over and over again!

Q: What was the biggest technical challenge in making the work?
There wasn't one, because I think the way I work is just one challenge after the other.
Helen Britton: Living Treasure Master of Australian Craft
Q: How do you decide what you're going to make out of those stories and research that you're doing?
The forms of art depend on how the material can best tell its story, and it's a collaborative process with the materials.

Q: What advice would you like to share out of your experience as an artist working over the last three decades?
Be really courageous and have a good Plan B, as it's tough to live solely from artistic work.
