Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Ep. 484 | No one hates being a Yankee more than Devin Williams
Q: Do you feel this win saved Aaron Boone's job or do you think it wouldn't have mattered?
I don't think it would have mattered. I thought maybe there was a possibility if he lost, but he seems to have a different demeanor lately, like he was called into the office or something.
Ep. 472 | A Sitdown with WFAN’s C Mac
Q: Do you feel that if Aaron Judge felt differently about Aaron Boone, that he wouldn't be the manager today?
Aaron Judge has a lot to do with the management's decisions and if he voiced opposition to Boone, it could have serious implications.
Ep. 448 | Two Extensions and Zero Rings
Q: What impact does Boone's extension have on the expectations of the team this season?
The team has to exceed expectations significantly, as anything short of a championship will be viewed as a failure by fans and critics alike.
Ep. 448 | Two Extensions and Zero Rings
Q: How many years are we allowed to go without a world championship before we're allowed to question the manager?
The hosts believe that fans should be able to question a manager's effectiveness after several years without a championship, particularly given the Yankees' history of success.
Ep. 444 | The One Where The Chat Takes Over
Q: Do you think the Yankees made it to the World Series because of Juan Soto or the American League?
It's a combination of things. Juan Soto helped significantly, but the American League's level of competition was also softer this year.
