I stumbled upon this podcast after hearing Amanda in a guest pod and everything she said was so different and refreshing. The Nuanced Needed pod is a beautiful dose of fresh perspective in every episode. A people pleaser through-and-through, I’ve always been stumped about problems with relationships and I am so grateful for the many lightbulb moments they have provided.
I love this podcast. These two ladies are intelligent and thoughtful, and I love listening to them discuss cultural and psychology topics. I wish the episodes were more frequent because I can’t get enough!
I enjoy the hosts and their energy. But I really appreciate the insight they share and the interesting topics presented. It’s thoughtful, without being too overwhelming. Like two really smart friends are hanging out in my kitchen with me.
This is my first time reviewing a podcast ever but I learned how to do so because this pod is so helpful and delightful (despite being toxic-positivity-free)! My therapist recommended an episode to me and I’ve been going back and listening to all episodes. I love the nuanced (well!) takes and also that the conversation feels like a hang with friends. It’s a great mix of psychology learnings and current societal issues (e.g., social media trends). Amanda and Sam also bring their own super int... more
I recommend this podcast as a reminder of what is reasonable in a world of unreasonable. In particular, check out the Sabrina Carpenter episode. The way Amanda can speak to power dynamics in relationships and the unique pressures women feel to be one extreme or the other is fascinating. I appreciate these women and the range of ideas they are introducing in such a polarized space. Bonus: Sam, go... more
