  • Great analysis, antagonistic politics

Solid tactical analysis and a great source of team news as well. Frustratingly political, however, and sporadically veers into conservative-bashing territory. The commentators are very open about their belief that the team should closely and aggressively align with progressive values, and distance itself from any sponsor or entity that has different values or goals.

  • Latent transphobia was tough to ignore

Granted I’ve only listened to one episode, episode 360, but the latent transphobia in the discussion was hard not to notice. The description of the episode says it all. They didn’t want to do it but at the behest of the team, who were desperate for friendly press, they discussed the Sounders partnering with a right wing company known for dehumanizing trans people, taking advantage of poor people and refusing to offer abortion services The host was obviously bored and was completely unprepared st... more

  • No more politics

Loved it until you guys turn this into a political show. I don’t listen to this to hear what your thoughts are on COVID. I listen to hear about the sounders once you go back to that I’ll start listening again until then I don’t wanna hear your opinions which are just opinions.

Sounders serve up some home cooking for St Louis City, a Soccerwise partnership and an FC Dallas preview
Q: What does the partnership with Soccerwise and Kickback Media mean for the show?
It represents a strategic collaboration to expand reach across platforms and leverage independent outlets for better coverage and potential revenue opportunities.
Mailbag Q&A March 25th, 2026
Q: What factors go into deciding whether Kingston gets a first-team contract, and how does roster flexibility influence that decision?
The decision hinges on performance relative to needs, roster space, and whether there's room to reward loyalty with minutes. If the roster is tight and injuries limit options, the club may be more hesitant to sign another player, though preserving a path to the first team for Kingston remains a consideration.
Mailbag Q&A March 25th, 2026
Q: What are the key distinctions you're seeing between Brunel and Petkovich, and could either displace Dotson before the World Cup break?
Brunel is more dynamic and likely to contribute in tackles and dribbles, while Petkovich brings creativity and playmaking with less defensive bite. Both show upside, but their path to a guaranteed starter role depends on consistency and whether they can beat out the current starters, with a no-brainer potential if they reach their ceiling, though there are questions about defensive chops and minutes for others.
