  • Democrats are over-performing

I wish Democrats would think carefully about the cycle of constant criticism. When both Republicans and Democrats attack Democrats, it drives down public approval. Then, those low polling numbers are used as proof that Democrats are failing. It’s a self-reinforcing loop.

It’s so frustrating because actual policy record tells a different story. Under Democrats, the USA expanded healthcare, reduced deficits, pursued fairer taxes, avoided damaging tariffs, and proposed investment in building 1 mil... more

  • Outstanding reporting

I am extremely impressed with the way that you report all things Trump related. Having been born and raised in South Africa, what is happening in the USA is reminiscent of the apartheid years, where the minority ruled over the majority. Where people were jailed for speaking out against the Nationalist Party regime, Nelson Mandela being one such example. I remember staying with an uncle, who was under house arrest, for speaking out against the government, while my parents were on vacation. I reme... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Trump loses it after Democrats' Virginia win
Q: How do you respond to Republicans who argue against partisan gerrymandering bans now that Virginia's map passed?
The hosts and guests argue that Republicans previously supported redistricting actions in other states and should support a nationwide ban; the emphasis is on consistency and arm's-length fairness rather than partisan advantage.
Trump loses it after Democrats' Virginia win
Q: What should be the message to other Democrats in bluer states about the Virginia strategy?
The guests suggest continuing to pursue aggressive redistricting reform across states, pushing for a national standard to ban partisan and mid-decade gerrymandering, while coordinating with governors and legislators to sustain momentum and protect elections.
Trump forced to make BOMBSHELL confession
Q: What would be the rationale for wanting Pam Bondi there as Attorney General and to get some answers?
The rationale is that Bondi likely has critical information about the Epstein files and the cover-up, so her testimony is necessary for transparency and accountability; deferring or cutting off the inquiry would undermine Congress's oversight and the survivors' pursuit of justice.
Trump’s Iran deal BACKFIRES in humiliating fashion
Q: How do you view the legal strategy to block Trump's mail-in voting executive order?
AG Bonta outlines a multi-state lawsuit and reiterates the constitutional authority of states over elections, emphasizing that federal actions cannot unilaterally alter the time, place, and manner of elections.
Trump’s Iran deal BACKFIRES in humiliating fashion
Q: What is your assessment of the possibility of invoking the 25th Amendment given the cabinet's loyalty to the president?
Both argue it is necessary to pursue all possible avenues for accountability, including the 25th Amendment and impeachment, to address dangerous and undemocratic actions by the president.
