Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

#582: Mid-Year Game-a-palooza! 2026
Q: What was it like working between two development studios on Rayman Legends Retold?
Luik explains that collaborating between Montpellier and Casablanca involves leveraging long-standing relationships, frequent in-person meetings, and regular travel to keep teams aligned, while also acknowledging the challenges of remote work and the benefits of combining diverse regional strengths.
#571: Tom Nook has You ...
Q: What upcoming Nintendo Direct content do you want to see the most?
The group shares wants for a new Mario game or remake, a Zelda announcement or tease tied to the Zelda movie, and potential updates to existing IPs like Star Fox or Pikmin, with some interest in new IPs and a focus on timing around summer events.
#566: A Frying Pan: Who knew?!
Q: For a game like Mario Tennis and Mario Kart, which makes you unlock content like more characters, would you rather have all the characters and content unlocked at the start, or do you prefer for some unlockables to work for instead?
I like the unlockables. That gives you a reason to play. There's a goal to get all this stuff. You start off with characters that you, you know, the basic characters, and you're good. But if you want more, you go unlock them gives you and also playing the one player one helps you learn how to play the game essentially and get good at it.
#558: The Real Lost Media
Q: If you had a magic wish to have any video game related item, console, game, etc., what would it be?
I'd want a Nintendo Entertainment system again, hooked up to my childhood TV, to relive the joy of unboxing and setting it up just like I did as a kid with my family.
#558: The Real Lost Media
Q: What are your must do activities for the holiday season?
Family gatherings, movie viewings, homemade appetizers, and visiting holiday light displays are my go-to activities for the holiday season.
