  • Worst audio producer ever

Impressively bad audio production, just here for Phil’s show, temporarily, thankfully. Compression not used right or at all. Lows are un-hearable, the highs blow your ears off. Constantly fluctuating audio in general, and the de-Esser not used at all. The sam Purcell segment was so hissy on the s and the t’s. It’s a bold business move to let this chucklehead continue producing. Seen better tafe students do basic audio.

  • Show has gone backwards

Used to be a good show but now has minimal current affairs- where is Terry Barnes? Get Steve Price in as a regular contributor

  • Boring drive show

It would be nice if the drive segment would concentrate on car reviews & the latest releases other than almost an entire show taken up with trivial pothole and road issues. I wasted an hour of my life last night listening to dribble.

  • NOT DURING A SENTENCE OR SEGMENT

Can … if you must … shoe horn a ad break or two mid segment… do it at a more congenial point? Some of the mid segment as intrusions have been sloppy and shambling

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

News Hour: How 'Factory-Built' Homes Could Turbocharge NSW Housing
Q: Where are these pilot projects already happening and what is the timeline for broader rollout?
Pilot projects are already in Wollongong and Schofields, with broader scale expected after the reverse-tender process identifies capable partners and facilities, followed by a ramp-up to nationwide deployment.
News Hour: How 'Factory-Built' Homes Could Turbocharge NSW Housing
Q: What role does the private sector play, and what incentives might the government offer?
Private companies would operate the manufacturing facilities, with potential government equity, land contributions, training, or low-cost loans to kickstart setups, while red tape is reduced to speed approvals.
News Hour: How 'Factory-Built' Homes Could Turbocharge NSW Housing
Q: How would these modular homes be constructed, and what changes in the building process are expected?
Homes would be built from factory-produced panels and components designed for quick assembly on site, with emphasis on precision, weather independence, and streamlined supply chains to achieve faster, cheaper, and higher-quality results.
Money Saving Tips with Joel Gibson - 24 June 2026
Q: What should someone do if their current plan is more expensive than a cheaper option found now?
Switch to the cheaper plan, and if prices rise again in July, they can switch again with no exit fees because old policies have been adjusted or expired; the key is to act and compare against the reference price.
Money Saving Tips with Joel Gibson - 24 June 2026
Q: What is happening to government reference prices in July?
The reference prices are coming down slightly, but many customers will see their actual plan prices change and vary by retailer; listeners should compare plans against the reference price and be ready to switch if needed.
