  • META / GOOG atrocity

I love these podcasts - except the recent one with the trial lawyers who shook down tech on the social media case ruined it. Silly case … no way to prove that social media caused the girl’s issues / absolved parents for responsibility / cherry picked documents from defendant … put on display everything that is wrong with the American left and Newt was a sycophant.

Absolutely a top podcast. I treasure my time on this podcast. So varied with political updates, behind the seen info, how our government works, and the most interesting and fun part is the history of the amazing individuals we never learned about in school.

I think part of the problem is that the Democrats have become so crazy. Pick your sex, even if you’re 7 years old, mental illness and outright communism. We aren’t the uncivil ones.

If you only listened to this podcast for the American History, you would be well served. “The Immortals” series highlighting many of our Founding Fathers is well worth the time.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Episode 980: George H. W. Bush and the End of the American Establishment
Q: What was the relationship like between Bush and Nixon, and how did Nixon influence Bush's approach to leadership?
Jurdem describes a mentorship where Nixon helped Bush navigate national politics and encouraged personal connectivity, influencing Bush to value personal relationships, loyalty, and internal consultation over purely bureaucratic processes.
Episode 980: George H. W. Bush and the End of the American Establishment
Q: Let's start at the beginning with this deep sense, which I admire, of duty and patriotism, which I think probably goes back to his father and his grandfather.
Jurdem explains that Bush was inculcated with the founding generation's values—reputation, virtue, education, and service—shaped by family and early institutions, which prepared him for a public life built on discipline and public service.
Episode 976: Bret Baier on “The Case for America”
Q: Given current events at the White House Correspondents' Dinner, what do you think should be done about President Trump's plans to build a ballroom as part of the White House grounds?
Baier discusses security considerations and argues for a plan that prioritizes safety while considering the functionality and needs of the White House for events.
Episode 977: Peter Carter on Delta and the Future of Air Travel
Q: Do you think government intervention could have helped Spirit Airlines survive, and what are your thoughts on a potential bailout or takeover?
Historically, government bailouts distort free enterprise and set harmful precedents; I believe letting the market adjust—while protecting essential workers—aligns with capitalist principles, and I expect industry dynamics and asset reallocation will prevail without government rescue of specific carriers.
Episode 972: Congresswoman Elise Stefanik on “Poisoned Ivies”
Q: Inner Circle member Gene Cannon asked, how can we get the Republicans to actually act in the interest of their constituents as they seem quite apathetic these days?
The host advises direct citizen engagement: call, attend town halls, email or letter representatives, and, if needed, raise cane until they act in the constituents' interests.
