  • META / GOOG atrocity

I love these podcasts - except the recent one with the trial lawyers who shook down tech on the social media case ruined it. Silly case … no way to prove that social media caused the girl’s issues / absolved parents for responsibility / cherry picked documents from defendant … put on display everything that is wrong with the American left and Newt was a sycophant.

Absolutely a top podcast. I treasure my time on this podcast. So varied with political updates, behind the seen info, how our government works, and the most interesting and fun part is the history of the amazing individuals we never learned about in school.

I think part of the problem is that the Democrats have become so crazy. Pick your sex, even if you’re 7 years old, mental illness and outright communism. We aren’t the uncivil ones.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Episode 990: Grady Connolly A Journey through America's Basilicas
Q: What actually makes a church a basilica?
A basilica is a ceremonial title granted by the pope to a church with significant historical, architectural, liturgical value, conferring special honors and plenary indulgences, and designating it as a center of pilgrimage.
Episode 992: America 250 – George Washington's Forgotten Highway West
Q: From your perspective, to what extent should we learn from the National Road experience?
Newt Gingrich notes that the National Road illustrates ambitious, long-term planning and the importance of infrastructure as national purpose, while also highlighting the tension between different regions' interests; the lesson is about sustained vision, funding mechanisms, and the symbolic value of movement for American identity.
Episode 992: America 250 – George Washington's Forgotten Highway West
Q: Why do you think Gallatin was so persuasive?
Brady Crytzer explains that Gallatin combined European experience with a practical frontier instinct, convincing Congress through his long tenure, vision for a road-centered system, and ability to balance federal leadership with state funding, ultimately aligning with Jefferson's constitutional pragmatism.
Episode 991: Rainmaker - Solving the West's Water Crisis
Q: As I understand it, Rainmaker is currently the only US company using drones rather than airplanes for cloud seeding. Why did you decide to take such a different approach?
There were price and techno-economic reasons, but also safety considerations. Drones are safer for operators, cheaper to operate, and allow targeting of clouds with higher precision and more flexible flight patterns, which enables higher yields of water at a lower cost.
Episode 987: Obamacare Enrollment Fraud
Q: Elle, can you help us understand who actually are the target of the Obamacare plans? Who is supposed to be on them?
The ACA marketplace primarily serves individuals not offered employer-sponsored insurance—people who don't receive Medicare, Medicaid, or employer plans, including gig workers, small business owners, and seasonal workers.
