  • META / GOOG atrocity

I love these podcasts - except the recent one with the trial lawyers who shook down tech on the social media case ruined it. Silly case … no way to prove that social media caused the girl’s issues / absolved parents for responsibility / cherry picked documents from defendant … put on display everything that is wrong with the American left and Newt was a sycophant.

Absolutely a top podcast. I treasure my time on this podcast. So varied with political updates, behind the seen info, how our government works, and the most interesting and fun part is the history of the amazing individuals we never learned about in school.

I think part of the problem is that the Democrats have become so crazy. Pick your sex, even if you’re 7 years old, mental illness and outright communism. We aren’t the uncivil ones.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Episode 972: Congresswoman Elise Stefanik on “Poisoned Ivies”
Q: Inner Circle member Gene Cannon asked, how can we get the Republicans to actually act in the interest of their constituents as they seem quite apathetic these days?
The host advises direct citizen engagement: call, attend town halls, email or letter representatives, and, if needed, raise cane until they act in the constituents' interests.
Episode 974: Sean Spicer on “Trump 2.0”
Q: Can you talk about why Trump 2.0 is different and what the 'why' behind the plan is?
Spicer explains that the book argues for a more durable, institutional approach to governance, focusing on lasting policy changes and a coherent strategy that endures beyond one term.
Episode 974: Sean Spicer on “Trump 2.0”
Q: So Sean, welcome, and thank you for joining me again on Newt's World.
Spicer responds with a courteous acknowledgment and proceeds to discuss current events and his book, framing Trump 2.0 as a continuation and formalization of lessons learned from the prior administration.
Episode 973: Carl DeMaio on the California Governor’s Race
Q: Is there any chance that Bianco could drop out?
The guest explains that once a name is on the ballot, removal is highly restricted, making a drop-out unlikely under California law.
Episode 971: The Hospital Cost Crisis
Q: What is driving the hospital cost crisis, and why do hospitals have such influence over policy?
Blase explains that government payment structures, especially Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement methods, create a cost-based, open-ended funding environment that incentivizes higher costs and consolidation, while lobbying and regulatory controls protect incumbents from competition, driving up prices.
