I’ve loved this podcast ever since someone shared that one spicy classical education article with me (iykyk). Now I’m slowly working through the whole back catalog and learning so much. I even read along to Climbing Parnassus and now Eduction in Antiquity. So good!! Just one request - please pretty please do an episode on Charlotte Mason!
Love the ALI guys, this is seriously the most underrated podcast out there on classical education, the liberal arts, and the humanities. Nothing else is like it
I stumbled upon the New Humanists while researching workshops for the 2025 ACCS Conference. Ryan’s ACCS bio included a reference to the podcast. I decided to check it out on a whim. What excellent work Ryan and Jonathan do with their show! As a humanities teacher with several years of experience in classical ed, podcasts which fuel my desire for my vocation are few and far between. God bless your efforts, and keep up the good work.
I love listening to the New Humanists! I studied Classics as an undergrad and did my ancient Greek at Harvard with Gregory Nagy when ‘dead’ languages were all but forgotten. They are indeed revived!! This is the way to do it.
These guys are the best. I studied Ancient Greek and Latin at a famous American university with a world-renknown classics department. In all my time there, I never found two people who bring as much vitality to their subject as Ryan and Jonathan. These are the first people I’ll turn to when it comes time for me to teach my boys the languages of their forefathers.
