We believe that George R. R. Martin has put a lot of effort and thought into creating a deeper dimension of archetype and symbol in his writing. He’s created connections between past and future, between sky and ground. He’s built on classic figures from world mythology and twisted them around in new and incredible ways to fashion his own archetypal characters whose divine roles are played out by t... more

The only bad part is that as David does more and more YT content, the podcast seems to be more and more neglected.
I am obsessed with everything about his podcast and YT channel! You can tell DL is extremely passionate about the novels and the symbolism contained in them. This is the perfect podcast for ASOIAF nerds like myself. I’m currently doing a re read of the novels and this I a great companion to it!
David Lightbringer is extremely passionate about this project and it makes for some captivating content. I discovered him on YouTube first (his videos are well produced with great images/artwork sequenced to what he is talking about) He is well informed and has a charm that I find genuine and compelling. Also, he likes thelonious monk and parliament funkadelic - that sealed the deal for me. 💜💜🙌
