  • Already run its course

A few episodes of reminiscing about Mythbusters was fun, but they’ve already burnt through that. I see no value in this podcast otherwise. Why are Kari and Tory doing interviews? They are bad at it, and they have no training in it nor reason to be doing it. This is just nostalgia and celebrity worship run amok. We just keep getting this empty nonsense because people keep listening to it.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The Pumpkin Chunkin Episode That Never Aired ft. Kyle Hill
Q: Did Kyle Hill have a background or setup that justified his role on this show, given the niche science focus?
Kyle's background in engineering and his proven ability to explain complex topics clearly made him a natural fit for the Mythfits universe, offering depth on nuclear science and credible discussion around high-risk experiments.
Why Adam Savage Was Really Replaced on MythBusters' Most Dangerous Stunt
Q: What was the real reason Adam didn't jump the building, if not insurance?
The team reveals that insurance concerns ruled out Adam initially; Tory was offered as a safer alternative, prompting further testing and safety measures before attempting the stunt.
Is Xyla Foxlin the NEXT MythBuster? | Building a DIY Airplane
Q: How did you learn to do stuff before YouTube?
They explain learning from mentors, in-shop practice, and old-fashioned sources like encyclopedias, emphasizing hands-on training and safety lessons that carried into MythBusters.
The Myth MythBusters Could NEVER Test w/ Race Car Driver Scott Mansell
Q: What would the overall timeline look like if funding came through?
With rapid manufacturing and proper backing, the car could be built within roughly 12-18 months, followed by testing and media preparation, though the track structure remains the cost-driving component that would need significant funding.
The Myth MythBusters Could NEVER Test w/ Race Car Driver Scott Mansell
Q: So how do you manage the engineering challenges if you don't use a traditional Formula One car?
We looked at a range of options, including a lightweight, custom-built car with electric hub motors to minimize weight and simplify control, potentially matching the downforce of a full Formula One car at lower speeds, and we would adapt the structure accordingly to maintain safety and feasibility.
