I was already kind of on the verge of unsubbing but then you guys had to rag on the portable toilet. I’m sick of hearing able-bodied people make fun of things that could be life-changing for the disabled, such as millions of people like my elderly mother who are facing a crisis of trying to age in place in houses that no longer suit their needs. You might be able to walk to the bathroom, but what about them? What about you when you get to be old enough to need help?

Pros
It’s Katy and Tory sharing stories and having awesome guests
Cons
Podcast is very edited too much for my taste. It’s not easy on the listener.
Suggestion
The conversations and can flow much better if they toned down the editing. Perhaps have an outline with topics ahead of time. And if you veer off then go for it!
Love this podcast! Love hearing Kari and Tory (miss Grant!), I hope this podcast never ends!!!!!!!
Came to this show to hear from two people who helped me develop critical thinking and analysis skills only to hear them shamelessly glaze one of the hack losers building AI deepfake tools in an episode ostensibly about how to spot AI and how insidious AI image replacement is. Not a SECOND of pushback when they hear he is actively working with tools that are going to put people out of work after a long conversation about how scary the slow erosion of reality has been. Sad!

A science-leaning, maker-focused show where two longtime MythBusters collaborators share behind-the-scenes stories, failed and spectacular stunts, and ongoing conversations about DIY engineering, safety, and the evolving media landscape. Episodes consistently feature guests from DIY fabrication, visual effects, and science communication, weaving practical tips with nostalgia for classic builds and the modern maker ecosystem. The show often spotlights the intersection of entertainment and engineering, from high-speed filming and stunt rigging to AI-assisted effects, while exploring sponsorships, licensing, and the shifting role of traditional TV vs. online platforms. A standout is the candid, on-set storytelling that blends technical detail ... more
