The acting is subpar and the reworking of the story is also subpar if you are a devotee of the original works.
Awesome rendition of a cult classic. The cast did a great job of making it play out like a movie in my mind.

Or driving away on an interstate highway at night in the middle of nowhere, it was sooo creepy!
I do not know why people insist on taking great 'old' stories and re-imagining them for current era. Just do the old stories as they were written OR write a new story! New stories, what a concept! I guess one couldn't ride on an existing brand then. Unless you enjoy bastardisations of old stories give this a pass.
