I’ve been listening from the start. Jack’s clearly quite good at what he does. I appreciated at the start how much he liked to focus on the story itself, and how accessible he made it for his listeners. His plug was all about making it free. I understand bringing in an ad or two, but he’s lost the plot here. There’s more ads in this podcast than any other podcast I listen to. It’s ridiculous 😂 I think the money’s taken a hold of him!
Great choice of stories and narrating skills but some loud crackly recordings, phone calls etc. are not good to hear at bedtime. It is mostly impossible to get what the person says anyway.
Great research, great stories, great everything, except… I can no longer listen! Tooooooo S T A C T O for bedtime, with too many upward inflections.
I really enjoy this podcast usually but had to question the ethics behind making missing Jack O’Sullivans episode subscriber only, particularly when the hosts own brother is assisting with the search of that poor young man and the family are so actively trying to keep his story in the media. Of all the episodes that were picked, I just felt that was wrong.
Ridiculous amount of adverts. So I subscribed as I like the content. My account now states ‘subscriber edition’. I STILL have the many many many adverts.
