Brian rocks at this (pun intended). I’m learning, I’m entertained, and having a blast listening to this podcast.
I’ve been fortunate enough to be a listener and guest on this great podcast. I love that the mixtape exists to listen to after all the discussion is done too. Who doesn’t love a perfect mixtape?! The creativity of the episode topics makes to so fun.
Fun music discussions, excellent guests and in-depth interviews. I’ve been introduced to new bands along with dusting the cobwebs off on songs I haven’t heard in forever! Keep up the great work Brian!
So many great episodes- Brian knows his stuff
Brian is a very charismatic host. Very knowledgeable about music. There are very few bands that I mention to him that he doesn’t already know, at least, to some degree.
His interviews are always interesting. And it’s fun to see where the mixtape will go.
No matter what genre of music you like there is an episode for you.
This show is a ton of fun and brings back the memories of making mixtapes back in the day

Episodes frequently center on track-by-track analyses, personal histories with songs, and the idea that mixtapes shaped how listeners connected with artists across rock, pop, punk, hip-hop, country, and indie. A standout angle is the thoughtful, nostalgic approach to sequencing and discovery, often weaving guest expertise and fan-curated picks into cohesive “mixtape” episodes that feel like listening sessions tied to memory and identity. The format tends to feature prominent musicians, industry pros, and dedicated fans, with a welcoming host who guides conversations with warmth, curiosity, and a deep knowledge of ... more
