I got turned on to Mr. Parka due to being in same podcast circles. He does a great job at bringing up movies I’ve never heard of. We might not agree on our tastes but I like his perspective. I also love his reviews with Jeremy who pushes Dave’s buttons. Not for everyone but great for cinephiles who like to deep cut.
Mr Parka’s shows are fantastic. The weekly updates are extremely enjoyable and consistent. Dave is able to talk about each movie in the perfect amount of time, giving you enough information about it to be completely intrigued without giving away the entire movie. I have discovered so many gems from these episodes that I would have never known about before. The secret top ten interview is such a great concept. These shows are so refreshing and fun to listen to. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.
You won’t find many people more knowledgeable than mrparka when it comes to genre movies. He breaks down movies in a way that feels like your having a discussion about them. He super charismatic and just all around entertaining. Plus his secret top 10 series is one of the best ideals every for a YouTube series. In general mrparka rules!!!!!!

A candid, enthusiast-driven show focused on horror, cult cinema, and genre history, with weekly reviews, deep dives into cult releases, restorations, and behind-the-scenes trivia. Regularly features guests who bring archival knowledge, cultural context, and hands-on experience with zines, publishing, and film history, plus occasional Patreon segments and long-running “top” lists that spark spirited discussions.
