This is such a grounding, calming, and insightful podcast. Each episode offers thoughtful teachings and reflections that feel accessible, no matter your level of experience with Zen. Great interviews with interesting guests - I love it.
The insight that Henry Shukman is able to express can do wonders. How he speaks on consciousness and our reality is a joy to listen too and he can make zen even more interesting than it already is. Not to mention, killer radio voice
Can you go deeper Zen and put this podcast on Spotify please. It would be ultra zen if you did this
At times, insight and wisdom are just the threshold... standing at the door, it is love that will lift the latch and invite you in for tea.
These talks are a true joy, a combination of scholarship, common sense and falling in love with the world over and over... The dharma is presented in a way that is fully relatable and filled with humility. A contemplative, conversation-driven series exploring Zen practice, koans, and the pathless path in daily life. Episodes feature teisho talks from Mountain Cloud Zen Center teachers and in-depth conversations with guest teachers, weaving classical Zen themes—emptiness, non-duality, and embodiment—with ecological and social engagement. Notable strengths include a clear, practical approach to applying Zen principles offline (relationships, grief, resilience) and a recurring emphasis on inquiry, curiosity, and living practice over attainment. The format blends traditional Dharma talks with modern, accessible explorations of practice, inviting listeners who seek mindful, philosophically grounded guidance for everyday challenges.
