I swore to myself that if the podcast would ever release an episode over 5 hours, I would finally write this 5 star review
Jokes aside, I’ve listened to many episodes of this podcast, and the mix of short pop culture news, an ever expanding amount of segments before the actual review starts, and a nice bookend of recommendation for board games, movies, tv, … at the end makes this podcast perfect for long travels and boring chores
While the podcast is focused on highlighting the absurdity/nons... more
This is one of my fav podcasts, I’ve been listening since 2019. I would give a 5 stars, but the running Joey bit is so insufferable. I love this show but unfortunately I cannot stand the Joey bit, and maybe it’s a personal flaw. If the timecode of when the Joey bit ends was in the episode description, I would love it.
This is an podcast where youtuber Nando and his friend DJ try their best to lower the standards of 3rd host Diggins, a man who might not have ever enjoyed any movie before, by forcing him to sit through whatever slop they can find and then analyzing it.
Honestly amazing to listen to, its great!
please stop doing the joey bit, I haven’t seen the movies, I haven’t seen Joey, it’s just too much. I wanna have the experience of nitpicking a movie without watching it myself. that’s all i ask
Every week I get a notification for the show and check the runtime and go “man, they’re really getting back to longer episodes this year” and then remember “oh right: Joey”. Even on pods where I haven’t seen the movie that you’re talking about and don’t want to hear spoilers, I tune in enough to get my weekly Joey fix. Greatest running podcast bit of all time

A trio of hosts dissects pop culture with a laser focus on details, from movie nitpicks and trivia games to editorial quirks and running bits that pepper each episode. Expect sharp, humorous takes on films, TV, and broader entertainment culture, with a penchant for concrete examples, behind-the-scenes trivia, and a willingness to debate structure, pacing, and cultural impact. Episodes tend to blend long-form discussion, playful segments, and strong personalities, making it easy to skim for references and stay engaged through banter and well-argued critiques. A notable hallmark is the persistent, lighthearted nitpicking that drives both laughs and thoughtful observations about how details shape meaning and enjoyment in pop culture.
