  • Please send Mary a lav mic

At minimum, Mary now needs a decent mic. A lav mic might be most practical.

  • So much fun!

Heard about the show on another show (true crime) I listen to, and had to check it out, as I’m a big fan of the horror genre. These three are obviously the best of friends, and it shows in their great rapport. They have some pretty amazing guests on as well. Very glad I found it!

  • Waste of time

I was hoping this would be a fun discussion about horror movies.

But unfortunately, it’s just three people going off on tangents that have nothing to do with the film that they claim to have watched.

I couldn’t get through 30 minutes of any episode I’ve tried to listen to.

Y’all need to put the bottles down.

I’ll give it once star because I had to.

    It doesn’t deserve it.

  • The Friendship Comes Through Loud and Clear!

I listen to a lot of podcasts with hosts similarly knowledgeable about horror, but it’s hard to find a podcast with three people who clearly enjoy one another’s company as much as these three! Every episode is full of fun, cheery conversation that entertains even in its digressions.

Monster Movie Happy Hour, Ep. 141, "Willard" (1971)

Monster Movie Happy Hour, Ep. 147, Monstrous Musings #20, with Drew Edwards and David Bowles
Q: If you had to give me the elevator pitch for The Matron, how would you explain it?
At the heart of it is a working-class, single mother who, after her town is gentrified and her job is taken, takes up her grandmother's axe to become the matron of a new legacy of violence.
Monster Movie Happy Hour, Ep. 149, "Ghostwatch" with Alex Taylor.
Q: Alex, I'd love to hear your impressions and experience in regards to this film?
The reason I suggested doing this film in the first place is because I figured in these dark and trying times, what better distraction than to relive the PTSD of a ten-year-old watching this show live? I was ten and hadn't watched any horror before, and after the broadcast, my sanity started to unravel.
