This was a pretty good podcast, I was enthralled but I can’t say exactly why. I thought it would be more horror, but honestly, any of the really short “creepy” stories are told few and far between. Interesting story and fun slow burn spookiness. Main character is really annoying though. A 22 year old girl from Connecticut living in LA who says "y'all" is completely shocked and appalled whenever she runs into unpleasant, shady, right-wing, or even just plain Christian people in rural America, while hiking alone. Overall, I enjoyed this story. I’ll likely give it a second listen down the line.
However, I did find the a ting to be somewhat stiff. I couldn’t tell if this was an intentional as part of Monarch’s character or just a lack of experience behind a mic, but it was difficult to get through the first couple episodes until I got used to it.
