Okay, so, Midst first. The story is fantastic. It’s engaging, mind-bending, and utterly addicting. The characters felt like real people, making bad (and good) real, human decisions. All in all, the whole show is worth it just for the second-to-last episode. !SPOILERS! UNEND next. It’s… fine? Season 1 is much better than season 2. The characters are good… ish. Merlin is detached and unenjoyable. Cleo is great, actually, and I relate to her a LOT. Ironically, Rawfeild is one o... more
I love this unique storytelling style so much! And the hosts do an amazing job painting the picture of the story they’re telling i could see it all (un)(fold)!
My current addictions….. extreme dark chocolate and Midst.
They had me from the first episode. The production qualities were great and the story was engaging. As I was listening to this polished performance, I did a mental double take. “Wait, what? Did they just improv?” I even ran it back to be sure. The combination of incredibly smooth integration of script and improvisation makes for an amazing listening experience. The narrative and character voices are of amazing quality and variety too. Thank you for this series it’s a pleasure to listen to!
