Two lovely lads. Bearded, but likeable. Great guests and sometimes great music. Poor geography lessons. App won’t let me give 4.5 stars.

MLPP214 - The Brokedowns
Q: What four artists would be on your Mount Rushmore of punk?
They name a mix of core influences, including Fugazi and Ian MacKaye, with other Chicago and punk acts contributing to a broad, era-spanning lineup that reflects both personal favorites and scene impact.
MLPP205 - Pulley
Q: What came first for you: the baseball career or the punk rock involvement?
Scott describes a dual-path from early life, where he pursued baseball seriously while also engaging in music, and explains how the two paths ran in parallel, with the internet era changing how others perceived the dual careers.
MLPP205 - Pulley
Q: Tell us about the song. Why did you choose it out of your extensive back catalogue?
Scott explains the selection process, noting how a mellow intro and a dynamic shift set the tone for a Pulley track and how the guitar and vocal melodies were developed, emphasizing the song's broader themes and its place within Encore and The Long and The Short of It EP.
MLPP206 - Face Up
Q: What is on the horizon for Face Up in the next year or so?
They anticipate a 10-year anniversary release with new music, possible EPs, and music videos, while continuing to tour and build momentum after pandemic disruptions.
MLPP208 - Horace Pinker
Q: Can you give us a bit of background on how Horace Pinker got their name?
The name came from Horace Pinker and the original drummer's mom, chosen as a pop culture reference at the time, with the realization that the original drummer was no longer in the band, which made the name stick.
