  • Excellent Podcast

Wanted to give my own review of the show. First and foremost, I *DON'T* like podcasts, they're just not my jam. However, Metachemistry is the only one I have listened to an episode more than once, and for multiple episodes. I enjoy the laid back approach to the game, and the interesting insights. The balance between Devin, Andrew, Ian, and Nate is stellar. I enjoy the banter, the insight, and the fact that all of remember, first and foremost, that this is a game that is supposed to be fun, ... more

  • Love your content, and I get you are competitive focused...but that Corregidor list in EP29 hurt my soul.

I was thrilled to hear a pimped Nomad list finally and then it is just a Named Character list. Nomads by way of Steel Phallus. ?

Other than that Ode to GamesWorkshop, Great content!?

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Episode 131: Winner's Circle - Kentuckiana Fight Club 2025
Q: What was your approach to list-building for the event, especially with Saladin and lieutenant choices?
I started with a focus on Saladin but then diversified to counter lieutenant sniping and to push more classifieds with multiple high-utility units; I used holo masks and multiple copies of Saladin to keep my opponent guessing and kept a strong emphasis on objective transmission rather than pure kill power.
Episode 131: Winner's Circle - Kentuckiana Fight Club 2025
Q: Can you walk us through your preparation and testing cadence before the event?
I tested tournament-style games at local events, joined an online IGL League, and planned around the latest patch to discover what changes required the most testing. The goal was to stress-test the list against a variety of common threats and to understand where the list could fail so I could cover those gaps.
BONUS: Breeze - A Cyberpunk Inspired Comic
Q: Mike, can you tell us a little bit about your role in Breeze and what that looks like for you?
I'm the head writer, if you will. So, all the scripts have come through me.
Episode 112: Winner's Circle - Battle by the Beach 2025
Q: What advice would you give to aspiring players trying to take on a satellite tournament?
Focus on consistency and variety in play, as well as fostering a friendly competitive environment for feedback.
Episode 98: MetaTalk - N5 Bostria Interview
Q: What were some of the main goals of Corvus Belli in terms of how they wanted the game to progress in this new edition?
Corvus Belli aimed to enhance brand recognition and accessibility, and to push Infinity as a more competitive and appealing game.
