Nur ganze zwei italienischsprachige Kantaten sind von Bach überliefert, "Amore Traditore" ist eine davon. Der Cembalist kann sich dabei ordentlich austoben. Aber ist das Stück tatsächlich ganz sicher von Bach?
Diese Hochzeitskantate ist so zauberhaft! Man denken könnte, Bach hätte sie für seine eigene Hochzeit mit Anna Magdalena geschrieben. Allein die ersten Takte der Eingangsarie sind laut Maul & Schrammek Weltkulturerbe.
Diese Geburtstagskantate für Fürst Leopold klingt wie ein textierte Orchestersuite, denn die Köthener Hofkapelle durfte kräftig aufspielen. Hört man im mittelmäßigen Text vielleicht doch etwas Kritik am Regenten raus?
Auch zum Neujahrstag war es in Köthen üblich, dem Fürsten und dem gesamten Hof mit einer feierlichen Kantate die besten Wünsche zu überbringen. Inhaltlich eher spannungslos, aber musikalisch von Feinsten.

Als Bachenthusiastin ist das der wahrscheinlich beste Podcast, den es gibt; informativ und mit einem Lächeln vorgetragen höre ich Woche für Woche gerne zu und lerne noch etwas dazu. Und ich freue mich sehr, dass es auch nach den Kantaten mit dem Podcast weitergeht!!

Ich dachte, ich kannte Bach. Ich kannte seine Orgelwerke, seine großen chorsymphonischen Sachen, die Goldberg-Variationen und vier, fünf Kantaten. Ich irrte. Hier lernt man Bachs Kantatenwerk kennen. Alle Kantaten. Zwei Profis führen in das Werk ein. Nicht nur unterhaltsam, sondern auch aus eigener Kenntnis. Schade, dass Bach nicht noch mehr Kantaten geschrieben hat, sonst könnte man beiden noch länger zuhören, lernen und staunen!
