Every Monday morning as I commute to work I turn on the Being Human podcast. Not only does Steve bring a calming presence, the content sets the tone for my week. As someone who is responsible for over 100 employees in a nonprofit environment, I aspire to promote a truly healthy workplace. I can’t count how many times I bring up this podcast, what I’ve learned, and used it in a leadership corner with management or one-on-one with an employee. From being human sized to understanding the four space... more
Both Steve and Lisa have been done thousands of hours of study and practice in their respective fields. They are amazing masters sharing the art of being human. I love how Steve says we should remember that “we are only human sized”. Selah! The powers as Walter Wink says will continue to push out the sumo ring of human sized-ness but it’s worth the fight . He is God we are not.
This is one of my favorite podcasts. Steve, Lisa, and their guests do a great job at helping me remain Human sized. They also teach tools to help stop the spread of anxiety while remaining connected to the person feeling anxious. It’s a great podcast to learn how to better communicate with yourself, others, and God. Highly recommend this pod and Steve’s books!
This podcast fuses the reminder of deep spiritual truths with tremendously beneficial insights from psychology, neuroscience, etc., in a way that is not prescriptive or moralistic, but humble, open to doubt, questions and mystery, and truly offers a space space for listeners to learn, explore, question and take away practical tools - no matter where one is on their faith journey.
Love how faith and science unite so well in this excellent pod.
