As a follower of Matt’s career, it’s disappointing to see him embrace a pagan worldview that ignores God and glorifies man. Various sermons, social media posts and guests on this podcast paint a picture of a pastor who’s chasing what’s popular with certain liberal types and ideologies. His guest from ep. 2.4 advocated for the media to shun evangelicals in favor of progressive churches with members of a specific skin color, and ep. 2.5’s guest is out of the closet and cheerleads for such causes. ... more

As a former follower of Matt’s career, I’m disappointed by his advocacy for a pagan ideology that ignores God and glorifies man. Reading Matt’s social media as well as his interviews and guests over the years paint a picture of a man embracing popular “influencer” activism, which increasingly trends toward deconstruction of the faith in the name of leftist politics and pieties. I hope Matt and his peers understand the extent to which their politics and need for social validation are affecting th... more
As a former congregant of Matt’s church, I’m disappointed by his advocacy for a worldly ideology that dismisses the Word. Reading Matt’s social media as well as his guests and interviews over the years paint a picture of a man embracing popular “influencer” activism and over the sufficiency of the Cross.
I have really been enjoying the experts brought on to each episode. They present information without appearing as condescending which isn’t always easy. I also love that this podcast is tackling tough topics many shy away from.
Matthew is a stunning speaker, and it’s great to see that being brought into more podcasts. Being able to close my eyes, sit in my recliner, and be educated on such tough topics is fantastic.
