  • They need to get over themselves

They pick apart every movie to much. Disney Channel movies are made for kids and teens. They're supposed to be fun, cute and easy to enjoy. They're not meant to be cinematic masterpieces.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Starring Mike Manning as Nick Swift in “Cloud 9”
Q: What was the biggest challenge filming Cloud 9, and how did the environment affect performances?
Mike discusses the Utah blizzard, two weeks on location, the freezing cafe scene with chapstick mishaps, and how the elements added pressure but also created memorable on-set moments.
Starring Mike Manning as Nick Swift in “Cloud 9”
Q: What was the casting process like for Nick Swift, and how did the Australian accent come into play?
He details how he prepared with an Australian accent for multiple rounds, the chemistry reads with Dove Cameron, and how an executive decision switched the character to American, which ultimately shaped the role.
Starring Will Friedle as Ron Stoppable
Q: How did you create Ron Stoppable once you got Kim Possible's script, and did you have a moment you regret about how the character evolved?
Ron started with a grounded, loyal core, and his voice evolved over time; the actor notes regret for pushing Ron too high vocally, but highlights the learning curve in voice direction and the importance of staying true to the character's heart while adapting with experience.
Starring Will Friedle as Ron Stoppable
Q: Do you have to keep your voice in shape, and what about vocal training or staying healthy for long recording sessions?
Vocal health is essential; long sessions can strain the voice, so actors learn to manage pitch, breath, and diaphragmatic support, and prefer scheduling to avoid burnout, using veteran directors to guide performance and maintain consistency across takes.
Starring Will Friedle as Ron Stoppable
Q: For us who really don't know much about that world, what is it like in comparison to on-screen acting, and how do auditions come to you now with remote work?
Auditions used to require long trips to studios with dense busy booths and lots of waiting; today many auditions are done from home, with the same mix of reading, blocking, and collaboration, though the process still rewards preparation, rapport with directors, and the ability to deliver multiple takes.
