Pod Meets World's Will Friedle & Rider Strong were sitcom stars 30 years ago. The concept of reality TV is honestly pretty foreign to them. But when their best friend Danielle Fishel competed on Dancing with the Stars in 2025, the boys committed to watching their first TV dance competition, and quickly became addicted. And undeniable experts. That is, if you ask them.
With their podcast, Pod M... more

Will and Rider are some of my favorite voices to listen to and this podcast is incredible - the show they are dropping in on for a season barely matters because the content they put out is always a 10 ⭐️ I’ve lost track of the times I’ve laughed out loud while in a Costco aisle due to something Will has said! And the intros keep getting longer which is absolutely insane 🥂
I hope this show runs for a very long time! I love always having a new show on the go and “discuss” with you. Some I already love but most I’ve never watched and wouldn’t have if you weren’t doing them on your show. I’m glad to hear you’re going to watch the Bachelorette after all, but I can’t imagine you’ll be skipping over Big Brother 28?! Please tell me you’re somehow covering BB as well!!!
I love this, even though I do not care for any of the shows you guys watched (besides DWTS). I would be so excited if you did a show I really love like Below Deck, Real Housewives of SLC (only good franchise in my opinion), or 90 Day Fiancé. But I’ll listen to whatever you guys talk about even if I don’t watch the show. ❤️

The number of reviews criticizing Will and Rider for not knowing the shows they’re covering is honestly hilarious. That’s the point. They make it VERY clear that they are NOT reality TV experts, they’re diving into shows they’ve often never seen, or even heard of before, and sharing their genuine reactions along the way. The fish-out-of-water perspective is exactly what makes Pod Meets Twirl’d so funny and refreshing! If you’re expecting encyclopedic reality TV knowledge, you’re missing t... more
At no point do I ever know where these recaps are going and I am here for it. Ending the episodes with a story about a true survivor or a philosophical concept is amazing. It can’t wait to see what show you guys do next.

Two longtime friends-turned-critics dive into unscripted TV, starting with dance-floor competition and other reality-format staples. They bring loose, humorous banter and fresh perspectives as they recap and critique shows like Dancing with the Stars, Traitors, Survivor, and other reality formats, often integrating personal anecdotes about fame, friendship, and pop culture. The dynamic is built on curiosity, accessible commentary, and a self-described journey from unfamiliarity to thoughtful analysis, offering a relatable entry point for new viewers while delivering entertaining, opinionated takes for seasoned reality-TV fans. A notable angle is their cross-genre curiosity—tackling industry conversations and storytelling mechanics with a pl... more
