I loved every episode of this! So creepy. I really wish the BBC would continue it.
If you're into 'Magnus Archives', check this out. It has many of Magnus' trademark 'The real horror is the alienation of modern life' vibes, and an overarching framework into which the individual self-contained stories fit, but makes its own mark by focussing on the extent to which the characters grapple with their own neuroses. The extent to which what's happening is real or all in their heads is... unsettling. Very well acted and with good sound design. Recommended!
Listening to this podcast felt like an anvil around my neck
Neurosis is a tragedy…
I love how each story stands alone independently but are all cleverly interrelated.
Looking forward to new episodes.
I’ve never heard psychological horror this good. It takes an unconventional approach to fear, preying on modern insecurities. One thing I like about it is that it’s constantly unnerving rather than following the sometimes tiring conventional horror format (slow build up to high tension, drop/relief, then a jumpscare that leaves you with nightmares 😰)
My favourite episodes are Kappa (*parenting instincts kick in at 14 years old* 😆) and Ale of G-something
This podcast was soooo good!
