  • Not helpful

Not helpful at all with studying for the test. It’s more like the anxious Reddit posts in podcast form. Avoid.

  • Practical

The podcast is quite promotional of its own product, which is to be expected. The nice thing is that they are focused on the outcomes of the student in realistic terms. Sometimes they are a bit negative, but considering the cost of Law School and often meager outcomes, I don’t blame them. I learned a lot from it. I also enjoyed the LSAT Demon tool.

  • 5 Stars!

Love the consistency of Bathan (Ben and Nathan). They give strict guidance with their approach to the LSAT and Law School and as you keep listening you understand why they’re so strict. I recommend this podcast if you’re on the fence about law school or the LSAT. It will definitely make you question whether or not this is for you or not. I appreciate the straightforwardness in their approach because the legal field is not going to hold your hand so I prefer their directness. If you don’t need yo... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

When to Reread (Ep. 1470)
Q: Hi, Demon team. I have a question about whether I am following the demon approach correctly, or if I'm developing some habits that I need to break.
The hosts acknowledge Colleen's concerns, diagnose common misreads (like rereading wrong components and overchecking), and propose focusing on deliberate comprehension, reading through passages with intent, and limiting unnecessary checks to maintain speed without sacrificing accuracy.
Take the LSAT Seriously (Ep. 1471)
Q: What should someone consider when deciding to take the official LSAT after practice scores improve?
Evaluate whether multiple practice scores are near the target range, ensure you're not finishing sections prematurely, and confirm you've moved beyond reliance on outdated strategies before registering for a real test.
Take the LSAT Seriously (Ep. 1471)
Q: Jacob writes in, asking how to know when you are ready.
The hosts discuss readiness in terms of consistent high practice performance, diagnostic history, and the ability to maintain accuracy under timed conditions, warning against partial progress or relying on accommodations as a substitute for readiness.
Ditch Your Deadline (Ep. 1461)
Q: Nicole asks why a one-hour daily study time is recommended and how it can be effective for someone with varying deadlines.
The hosts explain that steady, high-quality daily practice creates durable improvements and that the long-term payoff comes from consistency, not cramming for a rushed test date. They also note that many people are pressured by external timelines, but LSAT prep should be paced to maximize score growth, with focus on questions, review, and sustainable habits.
Drilling Is the Best Lesson (Ep. 1463)
Q: Ben, we have an email here from Rayann, who is asking about drilling strategies.
The hosts respond that drilling should be done with a focus on solving one question at a time, aiming for high accuracy, using written explanations and video explanations for learning, and not prioritizing volume over understanding.
